Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 April 2026 | Effective: 6 April 2026

The short version: We don't collect your personal data. Your workout data stays in your iCloud account, encrypted and controlled by you. We can't see it, sell it, or share it. This policy explains our minimal data practices in full.

1. Who We Are

Some Kind of Company Limited (trading as Some Kind of Software Company) is the data controller responsible for your personal data under this privacy policy.

  • Company: Some Kind of Company Limited
  • Registered in: England and Wales
  • Privacy Contact: [email protected]

2. What This Policy Covers

This privacy policy applies to:

  • The FoxFit mobile application ("the App")
  • Our website at skosco.com
  • Any communications you have with us

This policy is governed by UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you are located outside the UK, additional rights may apply to you under your local privacy laws — see section 11 for details.

3. Data We Don't Collect

Let's start with what we don't do:

  • We don't collect or store your workout data on our servers
  • We don't track your location
  • We don't use analytics SDKs that track individual users
  • We don't use advertising networks or tracking pixels
  • We don't sell, share, or disclose any personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration
  • We don't share your information with advertisers
  • We don't make automated decisions about you
  • We don't profile you for marketing purposes

4. Your Workout Data (Stored by You, Not Us)

FoxFit stores all your workout data in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This means:

  • Data is stored in your private iCloud container, not on our servers
  • Data is encrypted by Apple using your iCloud credentials
  • Data is only accessible by you and your devices signed into your Apple ID
  • Data syncs across your devices via Apple's infrastructure
  • We have no technical ability to access, read, or modify your workout data

Because your workout data is stored solely in your private iCloud account and we have no technical ability to access it, Apple's Privacy Policy governs how this data is stored and secured.

To delete your workout data, you can do so directly within the App or through your iCloud settings. We cannot delete this data for you as we don't have access to it.

5. Apple HealthKit Integration

If you choose to enable HealthKit integration, FoxFit may read from and write to Apple Health. This includes workout data and, if enabled, cycle tracking data. This data:

  • Remains on your device and in Apple Health
  • Is never transmitted to our servers
  • Is controlled entirely by you through iOS Health privacy settings
  • Can be disconnected at any time in your device settings

We comply with Apple's HealthKit guidelines, which prohibit using health data for advertising or selling it to third parties.

HealthKit data displayed in FoxFit, including cycle tracking information, is for your own reference — it's not medical advice. Our Terms of Service explain this in more detail.

6. Personal Data We May Collect

We may collect limited personal data in these specific circumstances:

6.1 When You Contact Us

Data collected: Email address, name (if provided), message content
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry)
Purpose: To respond to your support request or question
Retention: Up to 2 years, then securely deleted

We don't add you to marketing lists when you contact support unless you specifically request this.

6.2 App Store Analytics (from Apple)

Data received: Aggregated, anonymised statistics (downloads, crash reports, device types)
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (improving our app)
Note: This data cannot identify individual users and is provided by Apple, not collected by us directly

7. Third-Party Services

FoxFit uses these third-party services:

  • Apple iCloud (CloudKit) - Stores your workout data in your personal iCloud account. Apple acts as a processor for your iCloud data under Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple HealthKit - Optional integration for health data (stays on your device and in Apple Health)
  • Apple App Store - App distribution, in-app purchases, and App Store Connect analytics

We don't use any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, social media SDKs, or tracking tools within the App.

8. International Data Transfers

When you use Apple services (iCloud, HealthKit, App Store), your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the UK, including the United States where Apple Inc. is based.

Apple has implemented appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

For any personal data we collect directly (such as support emails), we process and store this data within the UK and European Economic Area. Should we introduce additional services in the future that involve international data transfers, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place and update this policy accordingly.

9. Data Security

FoxFit is designed with privacy at its core. Your workout data is stored exclusively in your private iCloud account, protected by Apple's enterprise-grade security infrastructure. This means:

  • Your data is encrypted using your iCloud credentials
  • We have no servers that store your personal information
  • We cannot access, read, or retrieve your workout data
  • Your data remains under your control at all times

For information about how Apple protects your iCloud data, see Apple's iCloud security overview.

Should we introduce features in the future that involve collecting personal data directly, we will implement appropriate security measures and update this policy accordingly.

10. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Under UK data protection law, you have rights regarding any personal data held about you. Because FoxFit does not collect or store your personal data on our systems, these rights apply as follows:

Your Workout Data

Your workout data is stored in your private iCloud account, not on our servers. You have full control over this data and can:

  • Access your data at any time within the app
  • Export your data using the app's export feature
  • Delete your data within the app or via your iCloud settings

Since we cannot access this data, any requests regarding your workout data should be managed directly by you through the app or your Apple ID account settings.

Other Personal Data

If you contact us for support, we may temporarily hold your email address and any information you provide. In such cases, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of this information by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how your data is handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

11. Your Rights in Other Jurisdictions

FoxFit is available in multiple countries. If you are located outside the UK, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws. Because FoxFit collects minimal personal data (as described in section 6) and stores your workout data exclusively in your own iCloud account, the practical effect of these rights is largely the same across all jurisdictions: you control your own data, and we have very little to disclose, correct, or delete.

The following summaries describe how our data practices relate to the privacy laws in the jurisdictions where FoxFit is available. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

United States (California — CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information.

  • Right to know: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. The categories we may collect are limited to those described in section 6 (support correspondence and aggregated App Store analytics).
  • Right to delete: You have the right to request deletion of personal information we hold about you. Your workout data is stored in your own iCloud account and can be deleted by you at any time — we have no access to it.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information, as those terms are defined under California law. We have never sold personal information and have no plans to do so.
  • Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

To submit a verifiable consumer request, email [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days.

United States (Other States)

Several other US states, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Texas, have enacted consumer privacy laws. These laws generally provide rights to access, correct, and delete personal data, and to opt out of the sale of personal data or targeted advertising. Because we do not sell personal data, engage in targeted advertising, or profile users, the practical impact of these laws on our data practices is minimal. If you are a resident of any US state with applicable privacy legislation and wish to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].

Australia (Privacy Act 1988)

If you are located in Australia, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) apply to the handling of your personal information.

  • Collection notice (APP 5): We collect personal information only in the limited circumstances described in section 6. We do not collect sensitive information.
  • Access and correction (APPs 12-13): You may request access to or correction of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at [email protected].
  • Overseas disclosure (APP 8): When you use iCloud, your data may be processed by Apple in the United States and other countries. Apple's data handling practices are described in Apple's Privacy Policy. Any support correspondence we receive is processed in the UK.
  • Complaints: If you believe we have breached the APPs, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Canada (PIPEDA)

If you are located in Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies to the handling of your personal information in the course of commercial activities.

  • Consent: By using FoxFit, you consent to the collection and use of the limited personal information described in section 6. You may withdraw your consent at any time by discontinuing use of the App.
  • Access: You have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, and to challenge its accuracy. Contact us at [email protected].
  • Breach notification: In the event of a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by PIPEDA.
  • Complaints: You may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

New Zealand (Privacy Act 2020)

If you are located in New Zealand, the Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs) apply to the handling of your personal information.

  • Collection (IPP 1-4): We collect personal information only for the lawful purposes described in section 6, directly from you, and only to the extent necessary.
  • Access and correction (IPP 6-7): You have the right to request access to and correction of any personal information we hold about you. Contact us at [email protected].
  • Overseas disclosure (IPP 12): When you use iCloud, your data may be processed by Apple outside New Zealand. Apple's data handling practices are described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Complaints: You may lodge a complaint with the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.

12. Children's Privacy

FoxFit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all workout data is stored in the user's own iCloud account and we have no access to it, any data created by a child would need to be deleted by a parent or guardian through the app or the device's iCloud settings.

13. Data Retention Summary

Data Type Retention Period
Workout data (in your iCloud) Controlled by you - we have no access
Support correspondence Up to 2 years after your last contact
App Store analytics Aggregated/anonymised - not personal data

14. Cookies and Website Tracking

Our website (skosco.com) does not use cookies or tracking technologies.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For significant changes affecting how we handle your data, we will provide notice through the app.

16. Contact Us

This privacy policy was last reviewed and updated on 6 April 2026. It is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are located in another jurisdiction, additional rights under your local laws may also apply (see section 11).
